Day 1. Ulan Bator – Karakorum

After breakfast we will drive you towards Karakorum.

Karakorum was the capital of the Mongol Empire between 1235 and 1260. Is possible see the ruins in the Övörkhangai Province in Mongolia. Another point of interest is the Erdene Zuu monastery, part of the Central Mongolia world heritage site.

Day 2. Tuvkun Monastery

From Karakorum we will continue on to the monastery of Tuvkhun (70km). This monastery is located atop the mountain Shiveet to about 2000 meters and was built around 1650 for meditation and study purposes. Inside there is a lot to see, such as quarrying, rock imprints, symbols linked to the independence and representations inside the monastery.

Day 3. Tsenker Hot Spa

Today we will go to the Tsenkher hot spa and we will hiking in the afternoon around the area.

Tsenkher hot spa are in the green Arkhangai region near a wooden area many old volcanos responsible for the numerous water springs and natural hot water that flows around. you will have a very nice and relaxing bath

Hot springs have healing properties like helping articular diseases and nervous system’s diseases.

Day 4 Khorgo Terk Park and Lake Tsagaan Nuur

After this relaxing day we will go towards the Khorgo Terkh famous national park. There we will see the Chuluut canyon that has erupted in prehistoric times creating an incredible landscape. The Khorgo volcano (not active anymore) and the Lake Terkh are surrounded by sandy beaches. The area is bounded by 13 volcanoes and rock formations. We will climb almost to the top one of these volcanoes and walk near to a gorge.

Day 5. Ugii Lake

Ulgii lake is a freshwater lake in the Arkhangai province, in central Mongolia. The lake, designated as a Ramsar Site of International Importance, is known for its fish and for birdlife. Almost half the lake is less than 3 m deep.

 

Day 6. Hurstai National Park

The Khustai National Park is the right place to visit if you want to relax and admire the natural habitat of Mongolia.
It’s possible organize an excursion with the ranger of the park for see the famous  takhi, the wild horses but also marmots, deer, eagles and other kind of birds. ( kind of flora and fauna depend by season ).

Day 7. Ulan Bator

Today we will go back to Ulan Bator from Hurstai national park.

What is included:

Breakfasts, lunches and dinners, transportation by Jeep / off-road (depending on road conditions), bottled water, museums fees, park fees, english speaking guide, driver

What is not included:

Personal expenses, travel insurance, airfare

Accommodation is not provided for 1 day short tour, for 2 days short tours overnight is in Ger with nomads.
